HSE Lead Medicals

Dr Van Kets has practiced medicine since 1991, of which over well 20 years in Occupational Medicine. Every lead medical is conducted entirely by Dr Van Kets himself, either at one of his clinics at London Bridge (SE1 2PR) or Orpington (BR6 0FE) — Alternatively he comes to clients’ sites for 7+ workers.
Why Are Lead Medicals Necessary?
Lead exposure can cause kidney damage, hypertension, and neurological issues. Under Control of Lead at Work Regulations 2002 (CLAW 2002) Regulation 10, medical surveillance is mandatory for workers with blood lead >25µg/dL (men) or >20µg/dL (women). Employers must comply to avoid HSE fines. Self-employed workers are responsible for their own.
